I had a request to review a favorite product of mine so I tried to not skip a beat on it! I've loved this primer for awhile and just got around to buying it this past summer. I love Benefit's products so much but sometimes it's hard for me to just throw all of my money at a product. However, this one was way worth it! I don't wear foundation because of my freckles (I used to have a ton more and just since leaving for college have they disappeared.. so sad) but I use the Porefessional to minimize the appearance of my pores! I've tried other balms such as this one like Smashbox's Photo Finish primer but it just didn't have as great of an effect on my skin.

I believe what makes this product so amazing is that it's a nude color so it helps blur the dark holes of your pores even more. I only need to apply it on my nose and on the tops of my cheeks and you can see below where I did a before and after shot of each spot. It works magnificently on my cheeks!

It claims to be 'oil-free, lightweight, translucent and silky'
  • oil free? yes.
  • lightweight? definitely.
  • translucent? well.. i'm not sure but it's not a bad thing
  • silky? YES!
Keep in mind when using this item that it's not meant to diminish your pores, just make them less noticeable. Honestly, that's all I need!

My 'before' shots:

My 'after's:

I'm going to rate Benefit's The Porefessional Primer a 9/10, the one downside is the price ($30).

You can find this at Ulta, Sephora or on!
