I've been meaning to make this post for so long now and I'm overjoyed to be able to share it now! I will be chatting in this post all about my favorite lipsticks that conveniently come from each color family (a pink, a dark pink, a red, a coral and a neon). Keep in mind that I do not like matte lipstick at all. I do own a few but those are my least favorite lipsticks in my collection, trust me! All five of these are moisturizing formulas while still remaining long-lasting.

From L to R: 1. Revlon Lip Butter in 'Sweet Tart', 2. Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in 'Pink Chic', 3. Maybelline ColorSensational Lipstick in 'Coral Lustre', 4. Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick in '01' and 5. Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids Lipstick in 'Shocking Coral'
now some on-lip photos...

Revlon Lip Butter in 'Sweet Tart'
This is the only non-lipstick of the crowd but it's definitely deserving of my Top Five. This lip butter is the absolute perfect mid-pink shade. It can be worn day or night and the creamy consistency of the lip butter range allows the color to wear off naturally and not get all funky. I could wear this every day for the rest of my life and be completely content!

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in 'Pink Chic'
This Rimmel shade is my favorite of the group by far. I have been wearing this lipstick shade for years now and it is always the one that I reach to when I'm uncertain on a look. I personally prefer pink lips over any other shade and Pink Chic is such a beautifully natural shade that still stands out and shows that you're wearing product on your lips. The Moisture Renew formulation is absolutely FABULOUS as well and the color lasts for hours while moisturizing your lips the whole time. LOVE x7549562!! If I were to recommend one of these five for you to try it would be this one. Go. Buy. It.

Maybelline ColorSensational Lipstick in 'Coral Lustre'
I looooooooove coral things. Nail polish, lipstick, clothing, everything. However, some things have a hard time actually pulling off a true coral without leaning too red or orange. This lipstick actually is a true true true coral both in the tube and applied on the lips. It's my go-to for a Summer evening but if you've got darker skin than I do(aka everybody), then this would most likely look nice on your year round!

Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick in '01'
Dun.. dun... DUN!!! Enter the best red lipstick EVER! I had given up on my reds from the drugstore for awhile and figured I would have to shell out some extra ca$h and go to MAC for my red lipstick but when Rimmel London came out with their Kate Moss Lasting Finish lipsticks and I saw that there was a true, cool red in the collection, I went out immediately and bought it. I've been in love ever since. The non-matte lipsticks in this collection have a similar formulation to the Moisture Renew ones from the same brand but are just a liiiiitle bit less moisturizing which ultimately makes them even longer lasting. If you need a cool-toned red I want to send you in the direction of this guy because I dare y'all to be disappointed. It can't disappoint!

ColorSensational Vivids Lipstick in 'Shocking Coral'
Lastly is another Maybelline lippie from their new Vivids subcategory(?) of their ColorSensational line. I went for this shade specifically because it had 'coral' in the name and of course I love me some corals and was initially let down since it didn't pull any way towards orange and was completely pink. Neon pink. It's definitely not what I expected but it ended up being a happy accident because I really do love this shade! You may think you would never want to wear neon pink lipstick but I assure you it's a super sassy and fun color. I also am a longtime fan of the entire ColorSensational lipstick line so it doesn't dry out and lasts for hours!

Now I recorded a video for YouTube but for some reason iMovie is rejecting my clip? But Blogger seemed to form a .gif of all my photos so enjoy!

Do you own any of these lippies? I wanna know what you think of them! Put it down in the comments below.

  1. I have Sweet Tart and Shocking Coral out of these lipsticks, but I also love the Kate Moss and Moisture Renew lipsticks from Rimmel and will definitely have to check out the 2 shades you mentioned! That red is so amazing! I should do a post like this but I don't know how I'd be able to only pick 5 of my lipsticks haha!
