INFLUENSTER VARSITY VOXBOX

Hey guys!! I'm back today to talk about my most recent Voxbox from Influenster. If you're unfamiliar with the site, head on over to my first Influenster post to get caught up and then make your way back here. Since I am in college, I qualified for the Varsity Voxbox. All of these products are intended to make your final four years of education easier and better! The products in the box were: Tide PODS Detergent, Kiss Nail Dress, NYC Big Bold Plumping Lip Gloss, Clearasil Daily Clear Refreshing Superfruit Wash and Airheads Xtreme Bites. Overall, a bit overwhelming. Let me explain further...

Let's get the most useless item out of the way first, shall we? Eh. Gummy candies. Are they supposed to be sour? I don't know. They're not. I am in no way a fan. They are just berry-flavored gummy candy in rainbow colors! Not too many similarities to original Air Heads. Onto the next.

I would have been way more stoked about this product had the design not been so.. gaudy. That being said, these KISS nail dresses are similar in application and wear to the Sally Hansen strips. I still prefer those (even though I don't exactly ever prefer nail applicants to good old fashioned lacquer) but these are still a good competitor.

Finally! A product I can get behind! This is a 'plumping' lip gloss by NYC. I always have known NYC to be a super cheap brand that I used to buy from Target when I was in the 8th grade. Not much has changed. It's not a life-altering lip gloss but I do really like it. The coolest part is that the applicator is HUGE!!! The color that I was given was also a very nice, neutral pink color. You can barely tell there's a shade to it when it's on the lips. The exact shade is 'Pleasantly Plump Pink'. Now, the plumping factor is definitely not there but the gloss does have a nice minty smell and taste to it. Probably not the best for being marketed as a plumping gloss but I've also tried Lip Venom which is THE most intense feeling ever! Not much can ever compare. Lasts about an hour, tops.

Now these Tide PODS are awesome. I already own a giant bag of like, 75 of them. Adding one more to the collection was fun! I really enjoy these now that I'm off on my own and the washing machines that I am using are nothing like the ones from my house that I've been using for years with my old liquid detergent. Also, us college kids have way more important things to be doing than laundry, right? Right. So just throw a POD into your wash and go! Don't have to pour a single thing. Already was a fan and will continue to be. Thanks for the extra one, Influenster!

Lastly the box came supplied with three paper packs of a new face wash by Clearasil. This salicylic acid based cleanser is just a clear gel and honestly, it's just another face wash. I haven't noticed anything spectacular both positively and negatively so if you're really interested, just go check it out! It smells like grapefruit which is a huge plus, I have to add.

Overall as you can probably tell.. I'm not so pleased. It's not that this box was bad! The products just did not excite me whatsoever. I sound so terrible because Influenster and all the brands involved were kind enough to send these to me in order to review but that does mean my review can be less-than-steller. Nothing awesome, nothing terrible.
