SUMMER OF BRONZERS: BANANA BOAT SUMMER COLOR SELF-TANNING LOTION IN 'DEEP DARK COLOR'

Eeeekkkkk yay! Who's excited for a deal? Yep. I've got one for you.

My standalone best drugstore self-tanner is this guy, the Banana Boat Summer Color Self-Tanning Lotion which I have in the 'Deep Dark Color' shade. There is a lighter one but the darker one shouldn't scare you off. It gives you a luxurious color.

I am so in love. For only about $7 at your local CVS, Wal Mart or Target, you can get a deep tan that doesn't turn you orange. Really! I have tried and tried and TRIED that dang Jergens tanner and let me tell you, I hated it the first time and I still hate it to this day. Turns me orange, barely adds a tan and isn't even that great of a lotion! This Banana Boat one also probably isn't the best lotion but the color is fantastic. It turns my naturally ghost white skin into a beautiful bronze shade. There is a fairly strong tanner smell but that will disappear after a day of wear.

As with all tanners, you'll need to exfoliate and moisturize your knees, ankles and elbows prior to application. I don't like to apply it to my face as it tends to cling to my pores a bit so I just apply a powder bronzer when putting on my makeup. Plus, you can still scrub and cleanse your face at night without having to worry about taking off your tanner/having to apply more.

Have any of you tried this one? Let me know your experience with it in the comments!

  1. I use tantalizer by lorac, I haven't been happier with a self tanner, but really th key is how you approach self tanning so many people not exfoliate beforehand!! It's crazy!
