SUMMER OF BRONZERS: FAKE BAKE FLAWLESS SELF-TAN LIQUID

Holy. Grail. Thats your sneak peek for this post!

First off, I know how little my bottle is. I'm not down to try a new product full-size if there is a travel sized available for cheaper. Hence, my tiny bottle. Don't you worry I WILL be purchasing the larger one once this is out.

I have been hearing about Fake Bake for awhile now so I finally decided to give it a shot. When you purchase the liquid, you'll also get a special mitt and some rubber gloves. The mitt is no ordinary tanning mitt. It feels like heavenly clouds gliding across your skin. I want to buy a hundred of the mitts on their own(why don't they have that option?). Pretty much what you do is spray the product on the mitt and rub it around in circular motions on your skin starting with the lowest part of your body i.e. your feet or legs. Give it about six hours to develop then you can rinse off your color!

One perk of this product is that the guide color is wearable. It gives a color where you can see where it's going but where you're still able to wear it outside immediately and not be obvious. The smell is also very pleasant. It may smell like a tanner to some but honestly, it's just a very nice smell for me that smells a bit tropical.

The only downside to this is that I feel like if you have darker skin than I do, I feel like this won't show up too much. I have very pale skin and I'm given a nice, subtle glow after this. It's not too obvious but it's deep enough to look like you spent some hours outside.

HUGE thumbs up! I am so in love with everything in this product. It's such a perfect match for me but that doesn't mean my hunt for tanners is over! It just means that I get to mark 1 in the 'yes' column.

SUMMER OF BRONZERS: BANANA BOAT SUMMER COLOR SELF-TANNING LOTION IN 'DEEP DARK COLOR'

Eeeekkkkk yay! Who's excited for a deal? Yep. I've got one for you.

My standalone best drugstore self-tanner is this guy, the Banana Boat Summer Color Self-Tanning Lotion which I have in the 'Deep Dark Color' shade. There is a lighter one but the darker one shouldn't scare you off. It gives you a luxurious color.

I am so in love. For only about $7 at your local CVS, Wal Mart or Target, you can get a deep tan that doesn't turn you orange. Really! I have tried and tried and TRIED that dang Jergens tanner and let me tell you, I hated it the first time and I still hate it to this day. Turns me orange, barely adds a tan and isn't even that great of a lotion! This Banana Boat one also probably isn't the best lotion but the color is fantastic. It turns my naturally ghost white skin into a beautiful bronze shade. There is a fairly strong tanner smell but that will disappear after a day of wear.

As with all tanners, you'll need to exfoliate and moisturize your knees, ankles and elbows prior to application. I don't like to apply it to my face as it tends to cling to my pores a bit so I just apply a powder bronzer when putting on my makeup. Plus, you can still scrub and cleanse your face at night without having to worry about taking off your tanner/having to apply more.

Have any of you tried this one? Let me know your experience with it in the comments!

SUMMER OF BRONZERS: VICTORIA'S SECRET PINK BODY BRONZER IN 'WARM AND COZY'

Finally! Sweet, sweet summertime. This Summer, I will be posting about various well-known bronzers around the beauty world. So if that's your thing, subscribe or follow my blog! I'll be sure to keep you updated :)

So, something caught my eye at work a few weeks ago. See, my favorite scent at VS used to be Pink's 'Warm and Cozy' and on top of that, I was looking for a bronzer or self-tanner. Of course, there was something to fit my need. Cue these body bronzers!

I'm going to start off by saying that I am a bit disappointed in the product as a whole... I was expecting a little more color and a little less scent. I could put up a photo of a 'before and after' but to be honest, the coloring would never match up and I'd rather just tell you guys my opinion in words!

You squeeze the product out and begin to rub it onto your skin and you'll instantly smell your chosen scent and see a bit of color. As you rub and blend in, the color sheers out while the scent is still powerful. I have only used this sparingly (one week I had it on my arms, another my legs) because I was too afraid of the overpowering scent lingering. It actually began to give me a headache and caused me to lose my love for the scent. I was more prepared for an actual bronzing instead of the hint of tan and luminous glow that I was given.

With the slightly hefty price tag of $18, I would ultimately say pass. Unless you ADORE a scent and don't need much color added to you.
