'BIG' MAKEUP HAUL!

Makeup!! I'm back to talking about makeup! Can you believe it? I can't.

As I've explained in some past posts, I've been trying to use up a lot of my makeup that I already own before buying new stuff hence why I haven't had any makeup posts up lately! However, I have gotten some new stuff this week from my big sister in my sorority so I have a bit of a haul to show y'all. She loves makeup as much as I (and all of you) do so during my initiation week she gave me products corresponding with our sorority colors of red, yellow(ish) and green. Let's get into it..

From L to R the products are:
-NYX HD Photogenic Concealer in 'green'
-Maybelline ColorSensational lipstick in 'Red Revival'
-Maybelline One by One VolumExpress mascara in 'Blackest Black'
-Maybelline Colossal VolumExpress mascara in 'Glam Black'
-Maybelline Color Tattoo in 'Gold Rush'
-Covergirl Clump Crusher mascara in 'black' (!!!!!!!)
-China Glaze nail polish in 'Paper Chasing'
-China Glaze nail polish in 'Happy Go Lucky'
-China Glaze nail polish in 'Italian Red'

My big didn't even know that Maybelline was my favorite makeup brand! It was fate. Let me give a quick run-down for the mascaras as I don't have a separate photo for them. I have used Maybelline's One by One in the past and it's good for separating lashes as it has a very thick plastic wand/bristles. It adds a tiny bit of volume but nothing too drastic. Maybelline's Colossal is one of my all-time favorites and I love using it at the end of my layering process(I can always talk about that process as a whole in a video if you all would like) to get as much volume as possible in my lashes. It's a classic! Now, Covergirl's Clump Crusher. The makeup world went GA-GA over this stuff this past year and since I'm a devoted Maybelline mascara fan, I never gave in. Well, am I glad that I got this stuff. It really is worth the hype. It separates each lash and manages to add volume without clumping as the name suggests! Now, I will never stray from my Maybelline routine but it has been exciting throwing this guy into the mix for a little while until he runs out.

Little did she know that Maybelline ColorSensational lipsticks are some of my favorites out there. I did not own this color and I love it! She mentioned it was her favorite red lipstick and although I like something a bit more vampy, it is a great classic red color. It's cool toned but has some warmth to it but would overall suit cooler skin tones better. This photo is odd because I applied it terribly and this was the only photo where you could almost not tell how badly it was done. Haha!

On the left is that NYX concealer which has actually come in handy as I have a ridiculous amount of redness on my face this week and I've been wearing foundation (!!!) on some spots so I've been able to use the anti-redness green concealer and then cover it up with my foundation and powder. On the right is another Color Tattoo! How stoked am I? Extremely! I didn't own this color already and I am actually very surprised by the sheer coverage. I like it, though. It makes the extreme metallic gold more wearable. What's even better is that I dropped my Vice Palette :( and my gold shade shattered so I've needed another gold shadow besides Urban Decay's 'Half Baked' and this will be a great layering tool for game days as my school colors are gold and black. Eek. Run-on sentence. Sorry. I'm really excited about this one!

I'm not a big China Glaze fan simply because I've never given them a chance. I can see myself wearing the red polish a lot as it's just a classic light red (although is a bit sheer and takes a few coats to get opaque). The yellow reminds me of an old, old NYC nail polish I bought back in middle school. Yellow just.. yellow is a difficult nail color. and the green shade is also just a bit too lizard-like for my taste. It is shimmery if you like that, though! The green is the sheerest of the all and would most likely take three coats to have VSL disappear.

Liz, if you're reading this, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Makeup is truly a girl's best friend and I'm so thankful for all of these goodies that you got me :)

As for my lovely readers, I have an exciting post coming early next week(still working on it.. won't be finished until Sunday night!) so keep your eyes peeled!
