'BIG' MAKEUP HAUL!

Makeup!! I'm back to talking about makeup! Can you believe it? I can't.

As I've explained in some past posts, I've been trying to use up a lot of my makeup that I already own before buying new stuff hence why I haven't had any makeup posts up lately! However, I have gotten some new stuff this week from my big sister in my sorority so I have a bit of a haul to show y'all. She loves makeup as much as I (and all of you) do so during my initiation week she gave me products corresponding with our sorority colors of red, yellow(ish) and green. Let's get into it..

From L to R the products are:
-NYX HD Photogenic Concealer in 'green'
-Maybelline ColorSensational lipstick in 'Red Revival'
-Maybelline One by One VolumExpress mascara in 'Blackest Black'
-Maybelline Colossal VolumExpress mascara in 'Glam Black'
-Maybelline Color Tattoo in 'Gold Rush'
-Covergirl Clump Crusher mascara in 'black' (!!!!!!!)
-China Glaze nail polish in 'Paper Chasing'
-China Glaze nail polish in 'Happy Go Lucky'
-China Glaze nail polish in 'Italian Red'

My big didn't even know that Maybelline was my favorite makeup brand! It was fate. Let me give a quick run-down for the mascaras as I don't have a separate photo for them. I have used Maybelline's One by One in the past and it's good for separating lashes as it has a very thick plastic wand/bristles. It adds a tiny bit of volume but nothing too drastic. Maybelline's Colossal is one of my all-time favorites and I love using it at the end of my layering process(I can always talk about that process as a whole in a video if you all would like) to get as much volume as possible in my lashes. It's a classic! Now, Covergirl's Clump Crusher. The makeup world went GA-GA over this stuff this past year and since I'm a devoted Maybelline mascara fan, I never gave in. Well, am I glad that I got this stuff. It really is worth the hype. It separates each lash and manages to add volume without clumping as the name suggests! Now, I will never stray from my Maybelline routine but it has been exciting throwing this guy into the mix for a little while until he runs out.

Little did she know that Maybelline ColorSensational lipsticks are some of my favorites out there. I did not own this color and I love it! She mentioned it was her favorite red lipstick and although I like something a bit more vampy, it is a great classic red color. It's cool toned but has some warmth to it but would overall suit cooler skin tones better. This photo is odd because I applied it terribly and this was the only photo where you could almost not tell how badly it was done. Haha!

On the left is that NYX concealer which has actually come in handy as I have a ridiculous amount of redness on my face this week and I've been wearing foundation (!!!) on some spots so I've been able to use the anti-redness green concealer and then cover it up with my foundation and powder. On the right is another Color Tattoo! How stoked am I? Extremely! I didn't own this color already and I am actually very surprised by the sheer coverage. I like it, though. It makes the extreme metallic gold more wearable. What's even better is that I dropped my Vice Palette :( and my gold shade shattered so I've needed another gold shadow besides Urban Decay's 'Half Baked' and this will be a great layering tool for game days as my school colors are gold and black. Eek. Run-on sentence. Sorry. I'm really excited about this one!

I'm not a big China Glaze fan simply because I've never given them a chance. I can see myself wearing the red polish a lot as it's just a classic light red (although is a bit sheer and takes a few coats to get opaque). The yellow reminds me of an old, old NYC nail polish I bought back in middle school. Yellow just.. yellow is a difficult nail color. and the green shade is also just a bit too lizard-like for my taste. It is shimmery if you like that, though! The green is the sheerest of the all and would most likely take three coats to have VSL disappear.

Liz, if you're reading this, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Makeup is truly a girl's best friend and I'm so thankful for all of these goodies that you got me :)

As for my lovely readers, I have an exciting post coming early next week(still working on it.. won't be finished until Sunday night!) so keep your eyes peeled!

ULTA HAUL + MAYBELLINE VIVIDS LIPSTICK IN 'VIVID ROSE'

Hello lovely ladies! I picked up a few things that I've been itching for at Ulta yesterday and posted a video about it. Here's my post further explaining my pick-ups!

No7 4-in-1 Quick Thinking Wipes- Simple, really. I've been without makeup remover for about two weeks now and it's been HORRIBLE. I've tried avoiding makeup so I wouldn't have to take it off but whenever I did put it on, especially gel liner, I had to just tug at my eyes with my Dove soap and I just felt myself making wrinkles on my eyes and in my eye area. Very stressful. Also I'm being very dramatic. I'm just glad to finally have makeup remover again! I go on and off with these and the Neutrogena ones and are the only wipes that I use.

Revlon PhotoReady Concealer in 'Fair'- Wanted to try out a creamier concealer and had a hard time decding between this one and the L'Oreal crayon one and obviously, ultimately, decided on this one. Swatched it quickly on my arm and it seems too dark but the tell-all will be on my face! If it's too dark (since it's the lightest shade... Bailey problems) then I will exchange it for the L'Oreal one!

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeshadow Crayon in 'Gossip Green'- Used this in my 'Demure St. Patty's Day Look' and you can check that out here! The color reminds me of a topiary and I have NO idea why. It's just a pretty, Earthy green color that is a great add to my collection! These are similar to the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils and as I've mentioned, I prefer those but these are still a fine product in all.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 'Sandstorm'- I've been using the same CoverGirl pressed powder since middle school (you think I'm kidding) so I was overdue for a new one! The one that I have isn't completely run out, but the top has fallen off and it's just become a mess Plus, I've heard so much hype about this powder that I had to give it a shot! So far, it's great at masking my oiliness but I've yet to use it for a whole day so we'll see.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Kohl Eyeliner in 'Nude'- I'm pretty over the white liner on the waterline so once I saw that nude liner was sort of becoming a thing and that it was so good-looking so I wanted to try it badly! I trust Rimmel of any of the other brands who have some out right now!

Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids Lipstick in 'Vivid Rose'- I wasn't going to do this. I wasn't! But it's SO pretty!! It's looked good on everybody and I just couldn't resist! Here's what it looks like on the lips:

Ugh! Love! Can't wait to wear this every day for the rest of my life.....

Oh! and here's the video on YouTube:

GIANT ULTA HAUL + VIDEO!

Went to Ulta to pick up some stuff last week and here it all is in it's glory! Product reviews and video below.

Olay Professional Pro X Cleansing System- I have been wanting the Clairsonic Mia 2 for some time but with it's $149 price tag, I just can't imagine spending that right now! I figured I'd go the cheaper route for something that got very solid reviews which was this system. The cleaner comes with two speeds and a removable brush head and it's waterproof so it can go in the shower with you! It includes an exfoliating cleanser which I have really liked so far and I usually use this at night only. It really makes my face feel clean and allows me to moisturize even better! So far, so good.

MAC 'Please Me' lipstick- I have posted a review of this already on here, but overall I really do like it! I have learned while owning it for a little while that I do have to force some chapstick into my lips prior to wearing it so my lips don't go desert on me but the color is very flattering and I enjoy it!

Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch concealer in 'Radiant'- I see a lot of potential in this concealer but seeing as I got it in the wrong color, it's not doing much for me currently. The shade that I got it in is far too pink for my undereye area and really, my face too. I currently am using it DIRECTLY on my dark parts of my undereyes which is a very, very small area and blending out. I top it with my Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer and all is forgiven! I may try another color of this because again, I see potential!

NYX blushes in 'Mocha' and 'Bourgeois Pig'- Mocha is a very natural blush pink while Pig is a bubblegum pink. Both come off very pigmented, so a light hand is necessary! Both are very flattering and should be on all ranges of skin tones. NYX really makes the best drugstore blushes, so I'm not surprised.

Wet N Wild blush in 'Mellow Wine'- SUCH great pigmentation and SUCH a great color. This shade is such a beautiful flush for your cheeks and I like to wear it when I'm not wearing any other makeup because it just adds a little bit of dimension to my face! Also very pigmented, even more so than the NYX ones so I have to be very careful when putting it on!

NYX Liquid Illuminator in 'Gleam'- Such a lovely product and I can't wait to buy the white version so I can try it on my face! This shade is too tanned for my face but it's absolutely perfect on the body and I can't wait to use it this summer!! For olive skin tones and darker this would be great to add a dewier-looking finish to the face.

Maybelline Color Whisper lip colors in 'Pin Up Peach' and 'Pink Possibilities'- New favorite product alert! These have not replaced my BELOVED Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains but they are now just alongside of them. These guys are a glorified version of the Revlon Lip Butters where they are a sheer wash of color while still showing great pigments and moisturizing your lips. They aren't made with any oils or waxes, just a light gel so they are great to just slick on and go. I highly recommend this product and these colors are just great. Peach is a natural shade and Pink is a more barbie (but not that intense) pink!

Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids lipstick in 'Shocking Coral'- Pretty dang disappointed with this color but not with this range! I have loved these vivid lipsticks and it's been great to have such a vibrant range in the drugstore lately! I'm just disappointed that this Coral color doesn't come off coral on my lips. It's just a neon pink. However, it's a good neon pink! Whenever I need it, I'll have it and I guess I can't be mad for being prepared!

Kate Moss for Rimmel London Lashing Finish lipstick in '01'- MPR. I finally found My Perfect Red. To the tune of Rimmel, too! Rimmel lipsticks are my favorite and I have realllllly been liking this Kate Moss collection thing! 01 is just a true, blue-based-but-not-too-much red that isn't too vampy but isn't a wash or stain either! It's actually a lipstick! I've been looking for my perfect color red for so long and I'm so relieved to have finally found it!

L'Oreal Infallible eyeshadows in 'Midnight Blue' and 'Amber Rush'- Great packed pigments that come off extremely well on the lids. While I can't vouch for any other colors in this range, I can for these. Midnight Blue comes off ashy and black when not packed directly on the lid but is a beautiful, slightly shimmery navy color when it is. Amber Rush is a rose gold that looks great on it's own or a part of a complex look! I love wearing it all over the lid!

ULTA MINI HAUL

Today I went to Ulta to 'pick up a few things'. That was honestly my mindset as I entered the store! Sadly, that is never how it goes. Although I did wind up with less than usual, I still got a few things. Luckily, I am SUPER excited about two of them so it overshadows my spending!

An overview of my items! See, not too much!
Maybelline Color Tattoo, Maybelline Mega Plush mascara (the. best. ever.), OPI top coat (I was sooooo over my seche vite always making my polish chip after only a few days!), No. 7 makeup wipes (because they're the only other kind I've tried and loved other than Neutrogena's and they were on sale/cheaper!) and two Rimmel lipsticks from the Kate Moss collection.. thing.. Keep reading for details!

Okay. My past mistake was that I went out to buy my first Maybelline Color Tattoo because missglamorazzi on YouTube RAVES about the color 'Bad to the Bronze'. I thought 'Tough as Taupe' was the one she was raving about so in the past, that was the one I mistakenly bought. Fixed my mistake finally by buying my Bronze! It's beautiful and this entire line is just.. perfect. They stay put so well and are perfect bases.

My Kate Moss lipsticks have been a long time coming. I saw them for the first time a little over a month ago while I was still away at school. I couldn't find any pretty or flattering colors so I didn't buy any then. No love lost, right? Well. I kind of missed the fact that they are RIMMEL! My favorite lipstick brand of all high-end and drugstore brands is Rimmel. I'm not sure how I missed that, it being Kate Moss and all but I realized it today and had to get one. or two. I'm not sure why one tube is red and one is black but I found them at different places in the store if that means that one is possibly limited edition? Anywho, I got the colors 90 and 103. Duh.

Tomorrow I'm going to do a post with swatches and on-lip photos of these two colors. Let's just say for now that I'm in. love.

That's it!
