MY FAVORITE FUNKY LIPS

OG Beautymunson signing on!

Today we're talkin' FUNKY lip colors! My favorites, to be specific. Scroll below to see my thoughts on and swatches of these three lippies.

Lime Crime Squash, Maybelline Vivid Violet and Smashbox Chill Zone

From R to L...

Lime Crime Velvetine in 'Squash'
Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid in 'Vivid Violet'
Smashbox Always On liquid lipstick in 'Chill Zone'

Arm swatches of Lime Crime Squash, Maybelline ivid Violet and Smashbox Chill Zone

ALRIGHT.

First up, we have the most beautiful orange shade ever. This liquid lipstick from Lime Crime makes my complexion look so bright and my teeth so white. Who could have ever thought a tangerine lipstick could make you look so good? I had lusted for a shade like this for YEARS and determined I would have to make it myself because it didn't exist. Then I found Squash. I love the color and I love the formula of Lime Crime's Velvetine lipsticks. They're thin and last for-EVER.

Next is Maybelline Vivid "Matte" liquid lipstick in Vivid Violet. Let's just start off by saying this formula is not matte. Not in any way, shape or form. Once you get that expectation out of your head you can fully enjoy this lipstick for what it is-- a beautifully plush, vibrant purple that makes a super impact. The formula is a bit streaky but I've learned over the wears that the more you try to even it out with the applicator, the less anything changes. This plush formula works best when you apply and then rub your lips together. It does transfer but this purple, you guys. It's soooooo pretty. I don't even care!

Last up is what was ONCE my favorite liquid lipstick formula, Smashbox's Always On liquid lip. I say ONCE because when these lipsticks are brand new, their formula is unbeatable. It's thick (in a good way), opaque and the applicator gets every corner of your mouth covered in one fell swoop. and once the product was on? Didn't budge. I bought so many of these lipsticks but now I've learned time does not bode well on them. They've now gotten thick (in a bad way) and are difficult to apply. That being said, their longevity still stands true and if you just thin out the formula with some Fix+, you're back in business. Chill Zone is a super "cool girl" grey. Like, come on. Who rocks grey lips? You'll become instantly cool, er, chill, while still feeling like this warm taupey grey is wearable.

Would you wear any of these crazy colors? Let me know below what your "go-to" funky lip product is.

NEW! MAYBELLINE COLORSENSATIONAL LIPSTICKS: THE LOADED BOLDS

New ColorSensationals!!!!

Okay, yay. I am so excited about these! I recently grabbed four of the new Maybelline ColorSensational "The Loaded Bolds" lipsticks in the two lightest and two darkest shades. If you didn't know, Maybelline's ColorSensational line is my absolute favorite of all lipsticks. I've tried many and I prefer these over all brands and types (even liquid lipstick!). They are so consistent and offer a wide range of colors. The Loaded Bolds collection filled in any gaps that were left over. There are some pretty purple shades in this "collection" as well. But today...

I'm going to talk about these guys:

From L to R: Pitch Black, Midnight Blue, Nude Thrill and Wickedly White
I loved the navy shade from the start and decided to get the B&W to test out since I haven't had very good luck with drugstore black lipsticks and have zero experience with white ones. Nude Thrill was a last minute decision and holy eff.. am I glad I got it. I'll protest my love in a little.

Can we discuss how annoying it is that pure white lipstick makes your teeth look like lemons? or sunflowers? or something else that's yellow? Ugh.

Anyway, Wickedly White. Clearly not meant to rock on it's own. I just can't get into white on ANY skin tone so much that I don't even like white-based lippies on most occasions. That being said, whites are great for mixing if you want to lighten a shade a little.. or a lot.. and don't mind the white base. I figured it was a staple that I needed to get. Coverage on it's own was 'meh' but again, I would only be mixing this into other shades so I should be set.

Nude Thrill is an absolute dream. It's now my favorite nude tone that I own! It wears super evenly and has just the right about of pink versus brown balance to look impeccable against my pale, but warm skin tone. I love love love love love you, Nude Thrill.

Midnight Blue is my current "adventure" shade. I've been "adventuring" into purples over the last year and navy seemed like the natural progression of my journey. I love jewel tones and thankfully, this deep sapphire has a lovely formula that glides so effortlessly across the lips leaving no patchy areas.

Lastly, Pitch Black. It sucks. I'm sorry. You can see in the photo how un-pitch black it really is. I will be returning this puppy tomorrow and my quest for a solid drugstore black lippie will continue :( My natural progression through deep shades will be black after my navy era is over so it'll need to be quick! Please let me know if you have any suggestions. I have my eyes on the new Katy Perry line with CoverGirl but I just don't like CG... but if I hear it's good, I'll grab that next.

Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed.

MAYBELLINE COLORSENSATIONAL VIVIDS MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICKS

The one downfall to traveling is that if you forget to pack something, you're screwed. Sure, you can go buy a replacement of what you forgot but what's the point of buying something you already own just for a couple of uses before you're back home? This was the dilemma I had while I was visiting home for the winter holidays. I desperately wanted a light, bright, warm pink lip for my New Year's Eve outfit that I had planned. The problem being that I brought home all of my dark winter shades instead of my plethora of pinks. I had forced myself into the repurchasing dilemma. I decided that I was going to go out and buy a new pink but it needed to be a new product that I had never tried so that I could sort of excuse the repurchasing.

Enter the new products of this winter. I went to Ulta three times. CVS. Rite Aid. Finally I wandered into Walgreens looking for another product that I believed had the right shade I was looking for. This is after two trips to Ulta and one more to return the Maybelline lipsticks that were too cool-toned (I didn't want MAC St. Germain. I wanted a warm, bubblegum pink.) While I didn't find the product I was looking for, I found THESE. The new Maybelline Colorsensational Vivids Matte Liquid lipsticks. What a mouthful.

I was suckered in by the bright, unique purple shade and sold when I found my perfect bubblegum pink. I didn't have these. I hadn't even ventured into the liquid lipstick world yet. That purple was unlike anything I'd ever seen by a major drugstore brand. These were made for me.

I picked up the two shades of 'Pink Charge' and 'Vivid Violet' and ran home. Well, hobbled home. I'm in a walking boot and had crutches from a surgery I had just had. That's a story for another time. These guys are exactly what I was looking for— and I didn't even realize that I was looking for until after I bought them.

The name suggests a matte product. I have to say, they don't mattify. If you put little to no product on your lips they will a little but you won't get the coverage or payoff that you should and would get by layering a few coats. However, the finish that these have is pleasurable in that they don't dry out your lips and they don't get tacky while still remaining thick. The color payoff is ridiculous and the staying time is decent— I found that I needed to reapply after a few hours. Which I didn't mind. So while the name suggests matte, don't go into these thinking you're getting a matte product and you won't be disappointed. The color range is fabulous and the price point is a typical Maybelline price of about $8 depending on where you pick them up.

I love Maybelline. They're my favorite drug store brand and this product sold me even further on them.

MAKEUP OF THE DAY - 7/16/15

A different eyeliner technique! !! !!!! !!!!!!! !!

I'm obsessed. I wanted to wear a thicker liner today but didn't want to look too intense so I was playing around with ideas and came up with this technique! I used my Stila liquid liner to define the outer wing and to line the rest of my lash line verrrrrrry thinly. Then I took my blackest eyeshadow by Urban Decay and a short bristled shadow brush and thickened up the wing while keeping the look soft and faded it towards the center of my lid.

This could have gone either way but I LOVED it and will totally be wearing this out for the next couple of days.

Products used:
Eyes
Urban Decay eyeshadow in 'Straycat'
Stila Stay All Day liquid liner
Urban Decay eyeshadow in 'Blackout'
L'Oreal Miss Manga Rock mascara
Brows - Urban Decay eyeshadow in 'Secret Service' (Excuse the non-groomed hairs)

Face
Benefit The Porefessional primer
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer in 'Fair'
MAC Studio Sculpt Defining Powder in 'Delicates'
MAC blush in 'Melba'

Let me know how you like this look below!

OUT WITH THE OLD // IN WITH THE NEW

I've been waiting to buy new makeup until I had a solid group that needed to be replaced/repurchased and I finally and I mean.. FINALLY hit that point last month. Here's what I got and what those products replaced. I'll letcha know if they were good replacement decisions or not… read on!

OUT: Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer in 'Milk Chocolate'

Let me start off by saying that I purchased that Too Faced bronzer in 2012. TWENTY-TWELVE. To be fair, I didn't begin wearing bronzer on a daily basis until last year but still that is an insanely long amount of time. I'm not even out of my Too Faced bronzer. I just barely hit pan just a couple of weeks ago and I needed to upgrade simply because I was bored of using the same one all of these years.

Cue the new MAC collection. I stumbled upon it's announcement one day and decided I wanted to get one of the blushes. After looking around I realized I was dumb and that this 'Delicates' bronzer was PERFECT and there was no way I could pass it up. It's as light as 'Milk Chocolate', which is difficult to find. It has a shimmer going throughout it in the pan but I don't see any luminescence on my face when applied. That packaging, too… If you want to see my post on this product then click the link above!

Good choice? Sure. Too Faced's product was amazing but I just got bored. I love MAC's as a replacement but I can see myself going back to Too Faced after this guy wears out. Did you hear Too Faced came out with a 'Chocolate' shade in their bronzers???? Even lighter than 'Milk Chocolate'???? Of course that announcement came after I bought this new guy. Oh well. I'll have my fun for a little.

OUT: Benefit Gimme Brow
IN: Maybelline Brow Drama

Oh, brows. The used to be so ignored but now I feel like none of us are considered 'made up' until our brows are 'on'. I know I definitely don't. Benefit's Gimme Brow came out when the brow craze was kicking up and it was one of a kind— still is. I thought I would be getting something similar (keyword: similar) when I replaced it with the much, much cheaper Brow Drama by Maybelline but I simply just got a colored brow gel. Gimme Brow was fantastic when you didn't feel like grabbing a brush and product to draw on your brows and just needed to sweep something through them to give 'em some life. The downside was that when the product was brand new, it was too wet. Towards the end of it's life it was too dry. It was never really a win because of that which is why I wanted to replace it.

Although Brow Drama is not the same fiber-gel that will build up your brows, I am liking it better as a brow gel (which is what I used Gimme Brow for 85% of the time) because the bristles are long and thin so that they get the product onto your hairs but not your skin. I'm content with my replacement decision. For notes, Gimme Brow is $24 while Brow Drama is $8.

OUT: L'Oreal Blackbuster eyeliner
IN (again): Stila Stay All Day eyeliner

Another long-awaited purchase, I've had this L'Oreal eyeliner for over a year. It still works but it's obviously old, gross and not the best eyeliner I've ever used. The only reason I say that in this post is because Stila's Stay All Day eyeliner is. I had this before the Blackbuster and it was incredible but I didn't repurchase because of it's $20 price tag. After a year of a drugstore liner, I was ready to splurge on my favorite again. The tip is so thin and precise and the felt tip doesn't dry out like most others.

That being said, if you aren't looking to throw so much at a product then the Blackbuster is still a really nice alternative just know it's a little chunkier and takes a steady hand when you get to the inner area of your eyelids.

OUT (or is it?): Maybelline Colossal mascara
in: L'Oreal Miss Manga Rock mascara

I'm glad I waited to write this post because… Miss Manga is horrible. I thought it was from Day One but it's only gotten worse since then. Colossal is not out. I bought a new Colossal. It's my holy grail mascara and it simply cannot be replaced.

Miss Manga Rock makes eyelashes turn into spears and not in a good way if that's how you're imagining it. I simply cannot apply it to my naked lashes and have had menial luck using one swift swipe on my outer lashes to clumpen and thicken things up just a little bit. The main reason why Maybelline is ALWAYS my mascara go-to brand is because they actually use bristles. I've found that L'Oreal often times uses plastic shaped as bristles (and short, stubby ones at that) which never works on my eyes. I learned my lesson. I saw a review on YouTube and it persuaded me to buy MMR but I'm probably gonna toss it in a few weeks. Maybe I'll wait to see if it becomes manageable once it dries out a little idk I just hate it right now and don't even want to think about it. Bleh. Colossal for lyfe.

Sorry for the delay in posting but I've been pretty busy and wanted to be sure to dedicate the proper time on the post. Doesn't help that I had it all finished and somebody blogger deleted all of my progress :( But I'm glad to finally have it back up and expect a Music MUNday post next week!

Talk to y'all soon,

MAYBELLINE COLOR SENSATIONAL CREAMY MATTE LIPSTICK 'LUST FOR BLUSH'

The 1990's are making waves in both the fashion and makeup worlds lately. In fashion, we've been seeing a lot of flannels tied around the waist and higher waistlines in general and in makeup it's been all about the matte, deep lip. I took my first step into the matte world with one of Maybelline's new Creamy Matte lipsticks which came as a part of their ColorSensation collection, my favorite!

I used to be anti-matte lipsticks but they have since grown on me since the later half of 2014 with the Kylie Jenner craze happening. Although this is my only stick from this line I intend on purchasing a couple of more like a red, pink and deep berry.

In my free time I'm going to be trying to ease back into blogging so.. until next time!

BEAUTY BEST OF 2013

I was definitely, DEFINITELY not intending on making one of these kinds of posts but after seeing all of the videos and posts by others, I've been inspired. That inspiration came from the realization that I had some products last year that really changed the makeup game for me. Seeing as it was my first year fully immersed in the beauty world, I learned a lot and was introduced to a lot of phenomenal products. The group that I have to share with you are a good mix between high-end and drugstore finds and I can honestly say that some of the products are holy grails for me and will be repurchased for a long, long time!

Let's get into the items.. (from left to right in photo above)

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer 'Milk Chocolate' » I originally purchased this stuff in May of 2012 but didn't put it to good use until 2013. First off, this bronzer smells like cocoa. It's such a nice change of pace whenever you're swirling your brush in it! Second, it's actually a decent color for my pale complexion. I have many issues with makeup with my being so pale and finding a good bronzer is one of the bigger ones. I've tried and tried but I keep coming back to this guy. This guy's $30.

Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara » I have converted. After years and years and years of swearing by Maybelline mascaras I finally went out on a limb and tried this guy from Covergirl after receiving it as a gift. I stand corrected. After my recent slew of unimpressive Maybelline mascaras (MegaPlush, Big Eyes, Colossal Cat Eyes which all turned on me once they weren't brand new), it's been relieving to have a new tube of something that I like. I love the Clump Crusher in conjunction with my holy grail Maybelline Colossal (the original. don't let them fool you!) because the Covergirl one separates lashes and does solid base work while the Colossal beefs up the volume. It's priced as any other drugstore mascara at $8.99.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Treatment Concealer 'Fair' » I purchased this product in May of 2012 as well but I got the most use out of it in 2013. I wasn't going to purchase it initially because I heard that it runs out quickly but um…. I JUST got the last drop out of it in my most recent video a couple of days ago. In 2014. It lasted a year and a half. Granted, I didn't use it every day as I had a lot of different concealers this past year but it still had a good, long life with me. This is the lightest concealer I have ever used and although it's still not light enough for my skin, it's passable. and that's a step in the right direction! With that being said, I used this on my face as well as my undereyes and it worked wonderfully there as well!

Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids Lipstick 'Shocking Coral' » Maybelline took the world by storm with their Vivids line and scared everybody when they announced it to be a limited edition collection but quickly changed their tune once they heard everybody's rave reviews about the colors! Shocking Coral is one of three that I own from this line and it's definitely my favorite. Now, if you know me you know that I have a thing for corals and so I was drawn to this shade simply off of the name. Unfortunately, it's not a neon coral once on the lips but it is a really pretty neon pink that works really well with my NYX Butter Gloss in Peaches and Cream. The best part about this shade is that it's a part of Maybelline's ColorSensational line which is my favorite for drugstore lipsticks. They're so comfortable on the lips and last for hours! Only $7.49!

Beauty Blender » I don't know if I'm allowed to do this. I just got my beauty blender a few weeks ago.. BUT! I'm already in love. It blends out my concealer like an absolute dream. I look airbrushed afterwards! Seriously. Even though I only use it for my undereye area, it's totally worth the $20 price tag. I made a mistake and didn't have it damp enough when I used it for the first time and so now it's permanently stained a little bit which makes me sad but that doesn't affect how it works! Love it. Totally worth the investment.

Benefit The Porefessional Primer » Definitely one of my stand-out products possibly of all-time. I remember the first time I ever tried this stuff in my local Ulta and I was SHOCKED. I think I even gasped. I was so taken aback by how it manages to seriously erase every visible pore on your face. It was the most unique thing I had ever put on and I have been in love ever since! Plus, I only need it on certain seconds of my cheeks so I don't have to use a lot every day so the tube lasts me awhile. It helps extend the life of it so I'm not so sticker shocked on the $30 price tag. Now, I can't entirely vouch on whether or not it extends the life of your foundation because that's not what I use it for but it's such a cult favorite, it won't be hard to find somebody else's opinion on that aspect of the product.

Benefit Gimme Brow 'Medium/Deep' » Another thing that I got very recently is the Gimme Brow by Benefit. However, this stuff is so revolutionary (I use that lightly, though) that I already know it's going to be a holy grail product of mine. It helps me make the inner portions of my brows look so natural so you can't tell that my brows are even filled in/drawn on. Now, it is pricey. But that $22 goes towards a multidimensional product. You can throw it on when you've got no makeup on to frame your face a little bit or put it on top of your usual eyebrow routine to help keep your brows in place and add fullness and color to them. The best part is the small spoolie applicator because it makes the color go where you want it and absolutely nowhere else! All-around A-M-A-Z-ing product.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner » I was really excited when I saw that this was in the Sephora Superstars Kit that I got a few months ago because I was on the hunt for a new eyeliner and had heard good things about this one! Safe to say it's my favorite liquid liner that I've used and I love how small the tip gets to allow you to get a very precise wing. The one thing I'm nervous about since it is a sort of felt tip marker kind of liner is that it will dry out but after two months, I've been okay. Only time will tell! This one is $20 which is definitely a steep price but if it turns out to be something potentially holy grail-y then I won't have a problem paying that!

Real Techniques Setting Brush » My first but definitely not last RT purchase was this brush. I heard great things about it(as with all of these items) and I had just gotten into concealing my undereyes so I figured I totalllyyy needed this. Turns out that I have really enjoyed it! It fits perfectly under my eyes and is just fluffy enough to not pick up too much product while distributing the amount that it does evenly on the intended area. This brush is also only $8 which is a deal when you take into account the competitors over at MAC and similar. Definitely a great first step for me in the Real Techniques brand.

There you have it! My nine favorite products of last year. If there are any that you didn't try I'm going to state the obvious and say that you totally need to at least attempt to in-store or otherwise! Also, if there are any that you had a different experience with, I would love to hear about it. It's cool to see how products work differently for different people. Have a lovely day!

MAKEUP OF THE DAY: 01/05/14

Today's makeup look drew inspiration from the earrings that I'm wearing in the photo above and below this writing. My mom got me them for Christmas and they are so incredibly chic I just can't get over it. I almost feel like I'm not worthy of wearing them.. I LOVE them. I had intended on the eyeshadow on this look being a bit more noticeable in photos but hey, what can you do? Urban Decay's 'Provocateur' is a really interesting shade and wears oddly so it's very difficult to pick up on camera. It's almost a bit gritty but never appears so. It's weird.

On another note, I've been really loving my eyebrows lately. I've only started loving them even more now that I'm using Gimme Brow. I am very proud of them! What I'm not proud of is my skin… uggghhhh I don't know what's going on with my skin but I cannot seem to get a handle on it. It doesn't help that I'm physically incapable of applying concealer properly because I don't end up concealing ANYTHING. I'm also paper white and no face products come in my skin tone which is why I had to use my Smashbox Photo Ready BB Cream because it makes me tanner but even then I couldn't conceal for the life of me… okay my blabbering is over. But yeah. I photoshopped the blemishes out in these photos but in the video below you'll be able to see it :(

Star of the show is my Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids lipstick in 'Vivid Rose'. I had originally put on my NARS Sheer lipstick in 'Dolce Vita' (it's in the video) but I looked so boring so I had to throw this guy on.

The products that I used in this look are…
Eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Urban Decay eyeshadow 'Provocateur'
Anastasia Matte Highlighting Pencil
Stila Stay All Day liquid eyeliner
Urban Decay eyeshadow 'Blackout'
Urban Decay eyeshadow 'Tease'
Covergirl Clump Crusher mascara
Urban Decay eyeshadow 'Secret Service'
Benefit Gimme Brow 'Medium/Deep'

Face:
Benefit The Porefessional
Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch concealer 'Radiant'
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer 'Fair'
NYX HD Photogenic concealer 'Green'
Covergirl TRUconceal concealer '1'
Smashbox Photo Ready BB Cream 'Light'
MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural 'Light'
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer 'Milk Chocolate'
Benefit blush 'Dandelion'

Lips:
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment
NYX Slim lip liner 'Nude Beige'
NARS Sheer lipstick 'Dolce Vita'
OR
Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids 'Vivid Rose'

and if you'd like to see me applying this look super fast with awesome background music(The 1975) [or not you could always mute the video there aren't any voiceovers] then looooook! I have posted it!

Hope you enjoy! See you in my next post :)

NEW MAYBELLINE PRODUCTS! FALSIES BIG EYES + COLOR TATTOO PURE PIGMENTS

I don't know what it is about my local drugstores but they take ages to get new products up! I've made many trips to Walgreens/Rite-Aid/CVS over the past week or so in order to find the new Maybelline Falsies Big Eyes mascara with no avail.. finally on my way home from my friend's house last night I decided to waste some time and stop and :O <----- that was my face. In all actuality. They finally had it all set up! Not only did the display show the new mascara but the new Color Tattoo Pure Pigment Loose Shadows, the Fit Me Shine-Free Foundation stick and the EyeStudio Master Smoky Long-wearing Shadow Pencil. All of these seemed very tempting to me(even the foundation because it looks like a dupe-idea-thing for Benefit's Fake Up concealer) but I stood strong against my favorite brand and only purchased two things.

So far so great with this mascara! It applies evenly without clumps and gives pretty good shape to uncurled lashes. It's much like the older Falsies mascara just with a different brush shape. The only concern I have for this product is that since it is a double-ended mascara, there is much less product to be delivered to your lashes. Also, we will be using much less mascara on our bottom lashes than our top so the purple tube is going to be running out far more quickly than the black end. I guess all I can do is wait and see, after a couple of months, how it's doing!

It's pretty difficult to show how mascara works in a photo format so I decided to film a first impression video. If you want to skip forward to me actually just applying the product, just go to the 1:30 mark!

--
Now, I'm not a big pigment person at all. When my friend Brittany texted me yesterday with pictures and information on them, I wasn't too into the idea. I said only if they had a shimmery ivory color would I get them. Well, I kind of opened up the packaging in the store(oops) and took a look at 'Barely Brazen' and it's pretty dang shimmery. Like super pretty. I was super into it.

This isn't the most phenomenal thing I must say. However, it would be great when layered overtop of another shimmery champagne shadow! It just isn't pigmented enough in my opinion to be a single shadow. If you want to see how it wears, I am wearing it in the mascara photos above and in the mascara video posted above! It just wears as a shimmery, warm nude that reminds me a lot of my Urban Decay 'Sin' eyeshadow. I applied it overtop of a primer so it would stay put longer than I believe it would just on it's own since it is a loose product!

Have you tried these pressed pigments yet? I'm very curious to see what the other colors look like.. just not enough to go buy them myself! Haha!

MAYBELLINE COLOR TATTOO 'SEASHORE FROSTS'

Finding this shadow has been the bane of my existence, I'm telling you. Maybelline released six new Color Tattoos for Summer 2013 recently and I have been on the hunt for what feels like weeks upon weeks. After initially seeing Amarixe's post and swatches of the products, I had whittled my lust list down to just one of the shades: Seashore Frosts. I began my research and it seemed that they were popping up specifically at Bed Bath and Beyonds. We have three in my area.. I checked them all with no luck. Then, my friend Brittany told me she had found them at her Rite-Aid but unfortunately, I didn't have one near me! Luckily at my new house there is one less than two miles away and they had everything my little heart desired!

Now that my story is out of the way, let's get down to the most important aspect: photos

The off-centered sticker bothers me, too. I got the last one so I couldn't exactly be choosy.

Isn't this color the coolest?! It's a sort of cornflower, cadet, light navy blue with golden shimmer all throughout. I want to use the word duochrome but I honestly know better than that. It's just a super shimmery shade with conflicting colors within and it looks INSANE on. INSANEly great! As with all of the Color Tattoo range, it's long-lasting and won't crease. However, I have never once worn these without a primer. I'm going simply off word of mouth on that last part. This Tattoo allows blue to be wearable and different all in one. Truly a winner, folks.

Have you tried any of the five other shades in the new line?
Should I reconsider buying some of those, too?

ULTA HAUL + MAYBELLINE VIVIDS LIPSTICK IN 'VIVID ROSE'

Hello lovely ladies! I picked up a few things that I've been itching for at Ulta yesterday and posted a video about it. Here's my post further explaining my pick-ups!

No7 4-in-1 Quick Thinking Wipes- Simple, really. I've been without makeup remover for about two weeks now and it's been HORRIBLE. I've tried avoiding makeup so I wouldn't have to take it off but whenever I did put it on, especially gel liner, I had to just tug at my eyes with my Dove soap and I just felt myself making wrinkles on my eyes and in my eye area. Very stressful. Also I'm being very dramatic. I'm just glad to finally have makeup remover again! I go on and off with these and the Neutrogena ones and are the only wipes that I use.

Revlon PhotoReady Concealer in 'Fair'- Wanted to try out a creamier concealer and had a hard time decding between this one and the L'Oreal crayon one and obviously, ultimately, decided on this one. Swatched it quickly on my arm and it seems too dark but the tell-all will be on my face! If it's too dark (since it's the lightest shade... Bailey problems) then I will exchange it for the L'Oreal one!

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeshadow Crayon in 'Gossip Green'- Used this in my 'Demure St. Patty's Day Look' and you can check that out here! The color reminds me of a topiary and I have NO idea why. It's just a pretty, Earthy green color that is a great add to my collection! These are similar to the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils and as I've mentioned, I prefer those but these are still a fine product in all.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 'Sandstorm'- I've been using the same CoverGirl pressed powder since middle school (you think I'm kidding) so I was overdue for a new one! The one that I have isn't completely run out, but the top has fallen off and it's just become a mess Plus, I've heard so much hype about this powder that I had to give it a shot! So far, it's great at masking my oiliness but I've yet to use it for a whole day so we'll see.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Kohl Eyeliner in 'Nude'- I'm pretty over the white liner on the waterline so once I saw that nude liner was sort of becoming a thing and that it was so good-looking so I wanted to try it badly! I trust Rimmel of any of the other brands who have some out right now!

Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids Lipstick in 'Vivid Rose'- I wasn't going to do this. I wasn't! But it's SO pretty!! It's looked good on everybody and I just couldn't resist! Here's what it looks like on the lips:

Ugh! Love! Can't wait to wear this every day for the rest of my life.....

Oh! and here's the video on YouTube:

MAYBELLINE COLOR WHISPER IN PIN UP PEACH + PINK POSSIBILITIES

Ugh I love these. So much. Maybelline just came out with their Color Whispers that are kind of similar to Revlon's Lip Butters but just a trillion times better. Maybe that's because I didn't like the Lip Butters and maybe that's because they're just better. Super soft and loaded with color, these things glide on your lips and stay put for a few hours! They're extremely moisturizing and are just.. great. I don't know.

Pin up Peach is a pretty natural color while Pink Possibilities is a baby, blue-toned pink. I was also into the colors Oh La Lilac and A Plum Prospect, which are both great! So if you're looking for some non-pink colors, check those out!

MAYBELLINE VIVIDS LIPSTICK IN SHOCKING CORAL + ELECTRIC ORANGE

I was super excited for this collection of lipsticks because I love me a good, bright lip!! After getting Electric Orange, I figured I'd get one more color. I looked into all of them in-depth and decided that I wanted this Shocking Coral! On all of the reviews, this color seemed to be more coral. Sadly, this is really just a neon pink but honestly, I'm okay with that! I will probably never wear this more than like, once or twice a year but whenever I need a bright pink lip, I'll be able to have it now!

Electric Orange, on the other hand, is a lovely true Orange color. It's super bright and is going to look fantastic on a summer night!
