I BOUGHT A BEAUTY BLENDER! + MAC PRO LONGWEAR CONCEALER!

Hiiiii!!!!! Hello!!! Happy Wednesday!!! I have so much to talk about in this post. Oooooh boy. Let's get started..

I just purchased two products. Two products I have lusted over for a long long long long time. I got some money back in a rebate for something so I allowed myself the splurge and man, am I so excited. I haven't been so excited about a purchase since.. honestly I can't even remember when.

I purchased a slew of concealers a few months back including the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind, L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Crayon, Revlon Photoready and Maybelline Dream Lumi. Wow. I didn't even realize that it was so many before! Let me just saw for reviews sake, my favorites of that bunch were the L'Oreal and the Instant Age Rewind. One was a more liquid product and the other was a cream hence why I enjoyed both equally! Anyway, Since I bought so many I totally did NOT need any more concealer in my life. However, I am now entirely out of the Instant Age Rewind and the L'Oreal and am almost out of the Dream Lumi. Since I'm not a huge fan of the Revlon one(for no reason at all), I decided I was going to look for a new concealer for both my undereyes and my face.

I finally talked myself into wanting to go MAC and have only heard great things about the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer. My only concern was the shade because a common issue that I had with all four previously mentioned concealers is that they were all too dark/too pink for my skin. All four were purchased in the lightest shades offered. I have so many issues with face products not being suitable enough for my porcelain skin so of course, I was skeptical about MAC. For this reason, I did not allow myself to purchase online.

I was able to make it out to my MAC store recently and was able to find my shade at last. Turns out I was what I expected in NW15. The 'cool' nature of that shade does not lean too pink and the gal helping me out informed me that the lower numbered NW's are all peachy instead of pink. Which is perrrrrrrfect. I LOVE it! It works well both on blemishes and under my eyes and while teamed up with my beauty blender it's even more of a perfect match...

Ah, yes. This thing. I can't believe I own one now. Seeing as I don't wear foundation I figured I would never need a beauty blender. However, I have been having concealer troubles lately and since I now own Pro Longwear which is a liquid, I can use a beauty blender. The first time I attempted to use it with that concealer it didn't turn out well. I hadn't yet mastered the dampness level + application but I have since learned and it really does live up to the hype. My undereyes look natural as ever and it doesn't cake up your face products. I would definitely recommend using a primer all over your face but that could also just be because my skin's texture is uneven and I can't live without it. Bouncing this pink sponge all around my face is a calming way to wake up in the morning. So far, so good.

I have been so excited to talk about these two things with you guys and I still have some more exciting things happening this week aside from this! Leave a comment down below if you have any tips for applying and using either the MAC Pro Longwear concealer or the Beauty Blender. I'm still a newbie and can use all the help I can get!

  2. Hey Kat! I used my Pro Longwear for over three years until moving onto other products. Main reason for moving on was because I didn’t like the pump because I couldn’t control the amount being dispensed. If they made it with a wand I’d be sold! Still use my BB but I use the micro.mini BB under the eyes :)
