MAKEUP OF THE DAY - 2/10/14

Hey guys! Let me be frank with ya for a second.. I've been in a makeup rut. I feel like I can't escape it. My eye looks are always a light base with a medium shade in the crease and a deep color or black in the outer V with some liner and mascara. It's gotten repetitive and boring! So I have been inspired by my own rut to create a different kind of look for today's makeup of the day.

So here is it!

Ugh. I seriously need to remember to brush out my brow gel. It's the one thing I ALWAYS forget and it's soo annoying to see.

For today's look I covered my entire lid with a darker blue base and dabbed my favorite silver shadow in the middle of my lid to make everything pop. Instead of my usual thin winged liner, I opped for a more intense one! I always forget how much fun it is to play with colors and I really need to do it more often.

This look is just the start of it for me and stepping out of my comfort zone. There are only so many brown toned nude shadow looks that a makeup blog can hold and I'm fairly certain I have exceeded my limit. Oops!
